Welcome back to Dire Ambition for Term 2

We were cut off in the middle of our flow through Macbeth’s incredible Act 1. This week we pick straight up where we left off and will be reading the play together in the class hangout.

As we did last term, we’ll stop frequently to analyse important moments and to decode Shakespeare’s intention as it sits as a cipher inside his words.

When we reach the end of the act, we’ll then watch the film version together – and examine the difference between what you had in your mind’s eye, and what this director made of the play.
